Instead, it seemed to exhibit dynamic behavior, with shifts and changes occurring over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;It is constantly evolving, influenced by complex interactions with the surrounding layers of the Earth&#8221;<\/em>, Kettle added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The implications of their findings is profound and as the team&#8217;s new scientific papers are shared with the scientific community, a wave of excitement is spreading &#8211; sparking calls for further research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;I want to be quite clear&#8221;<\/em>, Dr. Pott (Loch Ness Research and project coordinator) said. <em>&#8220;We are not looking at a Journey To The Earth&#8217;s Core scenario. But this is actually even more interesting because the magnetic fields being generated are shifting the North &amp; South Pole far faster than we thought.
